Polling stations open until 7 p.m. or 8 p.m.
Polling stations open everywhere in France at 8 a.m. this Sunday morning and will close at 7 p.m., or even 8 p.m. in major cities. To vote, you must have the French nationality, be of legal age, enjoy their civil and political rights and be registered on the electoral lists. You must present a ID, except in municipalities with less than 1,000 inhabitants, where the voter’s card is sufficient.
While the Covid-19 epidemic is still relevant, the authorities have not planned any restrictions. There is no need to show a vaccination pass or a negative test to vote and positive people can also go to their polling station. Wearing a mask is not compulsory but it is however recommended by the authorities.
