“I am surprised that, for 45 days, no national tribute has been organized” for the French victims of Hamas, declared Marine Le Pen, president of the National Rally group in the Assembly, Thursday November 23 on France Inter. “I was surprised by it in private, today I do it publicly“, she clarified.
“45 days without a national tribute, taking into account our compatriots who died in absolutely terrible circumstances, I find that it is starting to be very long“, she estimated.
Emmanuel Macron assured Monday November 13 that a tribute would be paid to the French victims as soon as “their number and identity“would”established with certainty“. What makes Marine Le Pen jump: “This sentence is terrible, because it means that we are waiting to know definitively what the number of deaths is. I’m sorry, but this shocks me.“
The Élysée announced on October 26 that the president would organize “in the next weeks” a tribute to the French killed in the Hamas attacks and that this would take place at the monument dedicated to the victims of terrorism at Place des Invalides in Paris.
The number of French victims in Hamas attacks against Israel stands at 40 recorded deaths and eight missing, including hostages.
