Quebec reported on Monday 410 new cases of COVID-19 and five additional deaths linked to the virus.
Of the new cases, 255 were unvaccinated or had received only one dose less than 14 days ago, 16 had received only one dose at least 14 days ago, and 139 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.
The provincial death toll now stands at 420,129 people infected since the start of the pandemic, of which 403,572 have recovered, and 11,449 deaths.
303 hospitalizations were reported on Monday, the same number as the day before. Of these patients, 77 are in intensive care, an increase of one person.
Twenty people entered the hospital on Sunday. Eleven of these were either unvaccinated or had received only one dose less than 14 days ago, one had received only one dose at least 14 days ago and eight had received a single dose. second dose at least seven days ago. According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 79% of the population has received at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19. Among those aged 12 and over, 90.2% have received at least one dose of vaccine and 87.2% are adequately vaccinated.
