For his 40e edition, the Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma have chosen to present an emerging film at the opening: Noémie says yes.
First feature film by screenwriter and director Geneviève Albert, the film tells the story of Noémie, 15, who, after running away from a youth center, enters the world of prostitution. Kelly Depeault, we saw in The goddess of fire flies, plays Noémie, while James-Edward Métayer plays the role of the pimp who will bewitch the teenager.
Emi Chicoine, Myriam DeBonville, Joanie Martel, Fayolle Jean Jr and Maxime Gibeault are also part of the cast.

Noémie says yes will have its world premiere on February 23 in Montreal. Performances will follow in Drummondville, Gatineau, Quebec, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières. Noémie says yes premieres across the province on March 4.
The 40es Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma will take place from February 23 to March 5, 2022.
