Out of nearly 8.5 million French people over 65, eligible for the vaccine booster against Covid-19 and fully vaccinated for at least 7 months, i.e. before May 15, 400,000 have not yet received their injection of recall, according to information from franceinfo. This represents 5% of this age group. Their pass will be deactivated from Wednesday, December 15 but reactivated as soon as their booster dose is performed, knowing that the over 65s have priority in the vaccination centers and therefore do not, a priori, need to make an appointment.

From December 15, it will be necessary to justify the injection of a booster dose to validate the health pass for those over 65 years old.“, announced the Head of State on November 9 during a televised address.

It seems unlikely that additional time will be granted by the government. Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, has suggested in recent days that the recall has been open to the elderly for more than three months already, they have benefited from the time necessary to receive this injection.

As for those over 65 who were vaccinated after May 15, less than seven months ago, there are 5.5 million. They will need to take their booster dose a maximum of seven months after their last injection. As of January 15, all adults vaccinated for more than seven months will need to have their booster dose to keep their pass.
