The regional prefect Pascal Mailhos and the regional president Laurent Wauquiez announced this Friday a State-Region plan contract (CPER) for a total amount of 4.4 billion euros in equal shares between the State and the Region. , an amount “unprecedented for financing structuring projects in the twelve departments of the region”.
180 million for optical fiber
This plan contract, which runs until 2027, provides for 225 million euros in Drôme and 179 million euros in Ardèche. In reality, structuring projects only represent a quarter of these total amounts. The largest amount, 90 million euros in each of the two departments, is devoted to completing the deployment of optical fiber in rural areas. The State and the region also include urban renewal, aid for medium-sized towns and support for rural municipalities in the plan contract.
40 structuring projects in Drôme-Ardèche
For major projects, 18 have been selected in Ardèche for an amount of State-Region aid amounting to 52 million euros. It is planned 62 million for 22 projects in the Drôme. To cite only the most important: the creation of the hotel campus in Largentière, the training center for nuclear jobs in La Voulte, the ITDT project in Tournon, the renovation of the Pompidou stadium in Valence, the construction of a new rugby stadium in Aubenas, the creation of the new Foire de Romans or even the modernization of several irrigation networks in the South Drôme and the Center Ardèche. Depending on the nature of the projects, funding represents between 20% and 60% of the total amount.
Nothing is planned for the development of roads, nothing for bridge projects. This so-called mobility component will only be validated next year.
