40-year-old man seriously injured, 30,000 people already there

A 40-year-old man was seriously injured on Friday morning May 19 after a car ran over him. He was transported in critical condition to the hospital in Châteauroux, learned France Bleu Berry from the firefighters. The circumstances are not yet known.

30,000 people are gathered on a private estate in the town of Villegongis, in Indre, for the Teknival which is held until Sunday May 21, indicates France Bleu Berry. The prefecture expects 40,000 people on Friday May 19 and more will arrive the next day.

Rescuers assisted 86 people, including 35 on the night of Thursday May 18 to Friday May 19, indicates the Indre prefecture. Three people were evacuated to the Châteauroux hospital center.

Two people in custody

According to the organizers, 11 associations and 130 volunteers are present during this Teknival to inform participants about the risks associated with taking narcotics and alcohol, and alcohol tests are made available. 23 verbalizations for possession of narcotics were established during the checks carried out. Two people were taken into custody for traffic offenses and driving under the influence of narcotics.

240 gendarmes will be deployed throughout the Teknival of Villegongis (Indre), until Sunday May 21, announced Thursday May 18 the prefect of the department.
