Four people are currently in custody. They were arrested on the night of Monday to Tuesday around 4 a.m. after they broke into and ransacked the post office in the Planoise district of Besançon. They were caught in the act by the police.
The individuals attacked the iron curtain of the establishment using a crowbar. They then entered the post office before attacking cash withdrawal terminal. According to the first elements of the investigation, the damage is currently estimated at 50,000 euros.
An investigation has been opened by the Besançon prosecutor’s office for aggravated theft and burglary. The post office is closed to him until further notice.
