3rd trip in a row to Ireland for Toulouse fans

D-2 before the semi-finals of the Champions Cup, the European Rugby Cup. On Saturday, reigning champion Stade Toulousain will try to qualify for their second consecutive final after beating La Rochelle last season (22-17). For this, the Stadium returns to Ireland in its capital Dublin to challenge Leinster at the Aviva Stadium, the immense setting of the Irish selection.

The Stadium must therefore sign a 3rd consecutive victory against an Irish club after having released Ulster in the round of 16 less than a month ago, and Munster last weekend at the end of an epic match won on penalties already at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. For this XXL shock between the Red and Black defending champions, five finals won, and the Irish three times winners of the competition, Stade Toulousain has requested 300 places for its supporters on Saturday in Ireland.

But travel is expensive between the plane, the hotel and the catering on site. In recent hours, it was necessary to count at least 355 euros for a round trip by plane, and no less than 219 euros for a hotel room not far from the stadium. Not sure therefore that there are many Toulouse supporters. Except some diehards who will make the trip like Dorian Tarroux.

Dorian and his friends are on their way to achieving the Irish Grand Slam. That is to say a 3rd consecutive trip to Ireland. And to avoid blowing his budget, Dorian booked his trip even before knowing the opponent of the Rouge et noir, and therefore before the prices rose!

For those who will stay in Toulouse, note thatthere will finally be no fan zone at the Ernest-Wallon stadium since there is already the Robert-Labatut tournament, a youth tournament (u14), explains the club.

  • Leinster – Stade Toulousain, kick off 4 p.m. Saturday French time. See you at 3:30 p.m. on France Bleu Occitanie to watch the match in full

The other Franco-French semi-final will oppose Racing 92 to Stade Rochelais the next day on Sunday (4 p.m.).
