3rd link: “Let go of me with GHGs”, launches Bernard Drainville

LEVIS | “Let go of me with the GHGs”, launched the caquiste candidate Bernard Drainville, who oversaw the arguments against the project of 3e link between Quebec and Lévis, which the CAQ does not intend to clarify further during the election campaign.

This is at least what the chief caquist François Legault suggested, during an announcement in terms of health in Lévis.

From the outset, the outgoing Prime Minister pointed out that the construction of a third link between Quebec and Lévis remains an important issue in the region’s campaign. According to him, the demonstration of the need for such an infrastructure is well established.

Bernard Drainville, who wants to succeed the outgoing Caquiste deputy François Paradis, agreed in the same direction based on the exchanges he has with voters.

“The expectation that we live (by taking the two current bridges), it does not need to be studied,” said Mr. Drainville.

“Drop me with the GHGs,” the former radio host was impatient, recalling that most vehicles will be electric when the tunnel is put into service between the two city centers.

“The future is downtown to downtown,” said Mr. Drainville, while the other parties are proposing solutions that involve either improving public transit or building a bridge on Île d’Orléans.

Québec solidaire reacts

The declarations of Bernard Drainville and François Legault were quick to react to the campaign of Quebec solidaire. “It’s still spectacular that the party that calls itself the party of the economy, with a capital ”E” please, promises to spend billions of dollars on a project and that it does not want to tell Quebecers that what is this project going to be and give the details of this project, ”denounced the spokesperson for the formation, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois.

“The third link is an electoral kid’s patent invented by the CAQ, he added. It doesn’t hold up. It’s ridiculous. This project is not even worth the paper on which the flyers of the CAQ are printed.”

As for Bernard Drainville’s statement on GHGs, the solidarity leader believes that it is a “beautiful illustration of the importance of the climate crisis for François Legault’s team”.
