A building of thirty-seven people evacuated in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne

Thirty-seven people were evacuated from a building around 4:20 a.m. in Villeneuve-sur-Yonne. A fire broke out in a technical room in a building located on rue du 8 mai 1945. The inhabitants were evacuated by the firefighters, some of them using a large ladder from the second floor. There were no injuries but all of these people were taken to the multipurpose room until a rehousing solution was offered to them.

Six injured including two in serious condition in Avallon

Another fire that mobilized firefighters on Sunday evening: in Avallon, a fire broke out around 8:45 p.m. in an apartment building located on Place Jean Cocteau. The smoke invaded the floors. The entire building was evacuated but six people were intoxicated by the fumes. Four were taken to Avallon hospital, two of them in serious condition.
