On July 26, 326,000 people will attend the parade on the Seine. Surveillance of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be drastic on land, water and in the air.

Five months before the opening of the Olympic Games (JO) of Paris 2024, security promises to be one of the major challenges of the event. For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the opening ceremony will not take place in a stadium, but on the Seine, with 6 km of bankher to watch. The number of spectators was, however, reduced for the opening ceremony. On July 26, 326,000 spectators will be able to attend the parade on the Seine. In detail, 104,000 places will be paid and 222,000 free. Surveillance will be drastic on land, on water and in the air. Anti-drone devices will be deployed, and air traffic prohibited within a 150 km radius around Paris on the evening of the ceremony. Finally, all participants will be subject to very rigorous screening.
