Duel opus 3: humorous musical show
Laurent Cirade, cello
Nathalie Miravette, piano
Gil Galliot, director

After having triumphed in France and across more than 39 countries, the musical humor duo DUEL is becoming more feminized for a third opus. Nathalie Miravette, pianist with nimble fingers, joins Laurent Cirade (cello). The raw femininity of one meets the boyish playfulness of the other and the score becomes tasty. He, the colossus behind his fragile cello and she, tiny behind her imposing grand piano, stare at each other before engaging in a fight with well-felt notes and relentless chords. We hear the frustrations, we feel the desires, we understand that the situation is serious and the conflict acute. The duo becomes DUEL, and the spectator is embarked on a battle with baroque accents, where classical, jazz and rock are reflected in the strings. The instruments shout at each other, respond to each other, provoke each other, then tame each other with talent, poetry… and always a lot of humour.
