Over the next few weeks, Health Insurance will remove 300,000 false health passes. To make them, the identity of several doctors had been usurped.
From Thursday, February 3, on the app All Anti-Covid, Health Insurance sends an alert message when the health pass is fraudulent. In total, over the next few weeks, 300,000 passes will be deactivated. This concerns those who have been enacted by hackers after having usurped the professional card of caregivers.
To track down these scams, the Health Insurance has analyzed and crossed many databases until anomalies have been identified. With each false pass deactivated, the Health Insurance then initiates legal proceedings. As of February 1, 2,092 perpetrators and beneficiaries have been sued. They face up to five years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros. The deactivation of these fake health passes, sold on the Internet between 100 and 300 euros, will last several weeks.
