Was Lydie Logé the twelfth and potentially last victim of serial killer Michel Fourniret, sentenced to life imprisonment and died in 2021? Part of the truth could emerge on March 11.

Indeed, Monique Olivier, former partner of Fourniret and sentenced to life imprisonment for complicity in three murders, should be heard by the judge Sabine Khéris at the “cold case” pole of the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office, according to information revealed by our colleagues at RTL and confirmed to France 3 Normandie.

Disappeared in the Saint-Christophe-le-Jajolet sector, in Orne, on December 18, 1993, Lydie Logé could, according to investigators, have crossed paths with Michel Fourniret in this village of 240 inhabitants where she lived.

It is also possible that he saw her in Argentan, where she worked. His body was never found.

At the time, two investigations, from 1994 to 1998, then from 2004 to 2009, resulted in dismissals. But in 2018, connections established between the DNA traces from organic compounds, found in Michel Fourniret’s van, and the DNA of Lydie Logé’s mother, made it possible to restart the investigations.

What we hope today is that Monique Olivier will tell us a little moreexplains Corinne Herrmann, the lawyer for Lydie Logé’s sisters. For families it is particularly important to know where the body is.

But should we count on the cooperation of Monique Olivier, already convicted of complicity? “It all started with his confession to her, in 2004”recalls Corinne Herrmann.

We have known her for 20 years, she has never lied to us. She may be wrong, she may minimize her involvement, but she doesn’t lie.

However, even if part of the facts are already known or strongly suspected, we will still have to wait for complete light to be shed on the disappearance of Lydie Logé.

It is a resumption of contact after meetings which were particularly tiring and stressful“, continues the lawyer. We will see what state of mind she is in, and if we can go further“. Other hearings could therefore be planned during the spring.

In December 2020, Michel Fourniret was indicted in this case, followed by Monique Olivier in January 2021. In June 2023, the sisters of Lydie Logé launched a call for witnesses, without success.

Contacted by France 3 Normandie, Monique Olivier’s lawyer, Richard Delgenes, did not wish to comment.
