Last July, Mont Sutton inaugurated a giant zip line one kilometer long. This summer, the resort will offer a new twisting zipline! Over a distance of 700 meters, the experience will be reminiscent of a roller coaster, with loops, curves, descents and ascents through the forest. The opening of this new mountain attraction is scheduled for mid-July. This is, according to Mont Sutton, a first in North America.

The Coaticook Gorge Park, well known for its 169-meter-long suspended footbridge, is hosting a nomadic glamping village called the UNIQ hotel until August 1, 2022. Composed of 18 ready-to-camp tents and common areas in nature, the UNIQ hotel travels across Quebec. It is in its third season, but it is the first time that it has stopped in this unmissable place in the Eastern Townships. In addition to its footbridge, the Parc de la gorge de Coaticook offers various attractions, including hiking trails, mountain bike trails, a farmhouse and an illuminated night trail, Foresta Lumina.

Evening trek to Granby Zoo

3 novelties for a trip to the Eastern Townships this summer

Did you know that it is possible to visit the Zoo de Granby… when it is closed? The “Evening Trek” activity allows you to discover the different “continents” of the zoo at nightfall (from 7 p.m.) in the company of a biologist. The discovery lasts 2h30 and allows you to observe animals that are more active at night, in complete peace of mind. The guided trek is offered on Fridays and Saturdays and takes place in small groups of around twenty people.

For those who prefer the traditional daytime visit, know that a new exhibition, fun and educational, has moved to the zoo for the summer: Animabloc, made up of 30 sculptures of giant animals in building blocks.
