The federal government is providing $3.1 million in funding to Franco-Ontarian organizations in the Ottawa region.
The announcement was made Monday morning by the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages, Randy Boissonnault, on the occasion of Franco-Ontarian Day.
“Our Francophonie is critical to us, Canadians,” said Mr. Boissonnault. “By investing in people who showcase Franco-Ontarian culture and the French language in Ontario, we ensure an inclusive and promising future for everyone. »
This funding, from which around a hundred French-speaking organizations will benefit, is part of the federal government’s new action plan for official languages 2023-2028.
