This summer, we’re doing – again! – the tour of Quebec. Each weekend, we offer you a few new or lesser-known attractions in a region of the province. Enough to complete your vacation itinerary or fill your days off. Today: heading for Laval.
Illumi in sandals
Tourism Laval / Sebastien St-Jean
Want to light up your summer nights? The Illumi sound and light trail will open its doors from June 22 to August 6, 2022. This is the first time since its debut three years ago that this Cavalia production will be offered during the summer season. In all, visitors will discover thousands of luminous structures divided into 19 thematic tableaux, such as “The Earth seen from the Martians”, “The Scarlet Spiders” or “The Jurassic Kingdom”. The “Illumi in summer” route is three kilometers long, can be explored on foot or by car and includes a total of 25 million LED bulbs. What to impress, it is the case to say it.
Stopover at the new Grand Hotel Times
Tourism Laval / Sebastien St-Jean
Times is a Quebec hotel chain that was founded in 2005. The Grand Hotel Times in Laval opened its doors in June 2021 in the Centropolis district, a stone’s throw from the many shops, restaurants and attractions of the place. Very recent, the hotel has 143 modern rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a small bar and several meeting rooms on the 12th and last floor. A restaurant is expected to open there soon.
U-pick flowers…
In the spring, tulip lovers (and selfie lovers) flock to the fields of the Tulipes.ca company, which is present on Principale Street in Laval. But it’s not the only place to offer U-pick flowers in the region. In August, the Forget farm, which harvests berries all summer long, lets you pick sunflowers and zinnias from its multicolored soil.
Another option? Les Serres Cléroux normally offers pick-your-own gladioli during the month of August. 2022 update to watch on their Facebook page.
