The wealthiest celebrities sometimes treat themselves to little pleasures that make people dream. The cars that the stars can afford are the dream of many enthusiasts. Even if the environmental impact of these cars is not the best ally of the environment. Example with the Bugatti Veyron, the most powerful car in the world estimated at nearly two million euros and which sits in the garage of Simon Cowell, famous juror of televised telecroches, but also of footballer Karim Benzema and actor Rowan Atkinson, interpreter by Mr. Bean.
David Beckham is not to be outdone either, since the former Manchester United star’s garage houses a Bentley Arnage (around 300,000 euros), a Bentley Continental GT (over 200,000 euros), a Hummer H2 (around 100 000 euros) as well as a Lamborghini Gallardo, i.e. an average of 421 g of CO2/km. This latest model is also quite fond of singer Kerry Katona of the group Atomic Kitten and singer Kanye West. A car that costs the trifle of 140,000 euros at entry level.
As for our French-speaking stars, Gims is known for its luxury tastes in terms of engines and bodywork. The singer drives a Ferrari 488 GTB, a Mercedes S-Class coupé cabriolet when he is passing through the capital. He also owns a Range Rover Sport which he uses on Moroccan roads. In 2016 he had tumbled through Bamako in a Rolls Royce Phantom (which costs around 500,000 euros) and in a Mercedes G-Class Brabus. On the web, there are photos of him posing in front of a Lamborghini Huracan (nearly 250,000 euros), a new Porsche Panamera Turbo, a Porsche 911 Type 991 convertible and a Cadillac Escalade at more than 100,000 euros.
Usain Bolt likes to rush in his Ferrari California when Nicki Minaj strolls through the streets of New York in a candy pink Lamborghini Aventador which reaches the tidy sum of $400,000. Zlatan Ibrahimovic back when he was playing at Paris Saint-Germain owned a Porsche 918 Spyder, the only vehicle that earned his attention. Starting price: 887,000 euros!
Some stars, more concerned about their carbon footprint, have opted for a hybrid vehicle. This is particularly the case of Tom Hanks with his Toyota Prius. An initiative followed by Cameron Diaz (even if the latter also owns a Maserati) or Leonardo DiCaprio known for his commitment to the planet.
