A play to mark the 25th anniversary of the creation of the album outside november des Colocs will see the light of day next November in Montreal. The actor Hubert Proulx (The ineffable Pouliot in the series Leo) will perform the late singer Dédé Fortin, alongside musician Vander, the group’s last bass player.

The show, directed by Marilyn Bastien and produced by the company Pourquoi Scène, will be presented in the brand new Espace St-Denis in the Latin Quarter, at the Studio-Cabaret, before embarking on a tour across Quebec. Texts, song and memories are on the program.
From a series of lectures that Vander has presented over the years, “the piece approaches documentary theater with a mixture of narration and recited interpretations of the texts of the album, with the participation of the musicians Jean-Denis Levasseur (winds) and Jean-Sébastien Nicol (drums)”, we explain in the press release.
“Despite the ups and downs, I think it’s important to remember that all was far from bleak during this period. There were many moments of happiness and joy in this adventure”, underlines Vander, “creative soul of the project”.
Tickets are on sale today at the Espace St-Denis box office and online at Ticketpro.ca. Dates and tickets for performances of the Quebec tour are available at www.dehorsnovembre.com.
