A large device was quickly deployed on this fire in Laurac-en-Vivarais near Largentière in Ardèche since Friday May 20, 2022. Of the 140 firefighters mobilized Friday evening, around fifty stayed on site all night. Thanks to their intervention, the fire is under control this Saturday May 21st. In total, 25 hectares went up in smoke. The fire had taken in maritime pines and had quickly spread in particular because of the strong gusts of wind.
Firefighters will remain on watch throughout the day this Saturday to avoid any risk of recovery.
