213 evacuations, power outages reported

In anticipation of the passage of storm Aline, 213 people were preemptively evacuated in the Alpes-Maritimes, on the night of Thursday October 19 to Friday October 20, France Bleu Azur learned from the department prefecture. In detail, 128 people were evacuated in the municipalities of Saint-Martin Vésubie, Fontan, Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée and Tende. 85 others were evacuated to the Douce France campsite in Antibes.

Localized power cuts have been reported in Saint-Martin-Vésubie and Broc, indicates a journalist from France Bleu Azur from the crisis unit set up at the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture. Three landslides took place, in La Turbie and Breil-sur-Roya.

The emergency number activated by the prefecture, 09 70 80 90 40, has already received more than a thousand calls since Thursday evening.
