21-year-old man in police custody for stabbing several family members

A 21-year-old young man was arrested on Tuesday in Saint-Gildas-des-Bois (Loire-Atlantique), suspected of having stabbed several members of his family, reports France Bleu Loire Océan. His younger brother is seriously injured.

The man in question was arrested in the afternoon at the college of Saint-Gildas-des-Bois in which he had taken refuge. The establishment was empty since it is the school holidays. The suspect is accused of having injured – at the beginning of the afternoon at the family home – five members of his family with a knife, for a reason still unknown.

His younger brother seriously injured in the abdomen

Among the victims are the suspect’s mother and sister (more lightly injured). His younger brother, aged 17, was seriously injured in the abdomen. It is not known at this time who are the other two members of the family to have been affected. The suspect was taken into custody. The investigation is open for “attempted aggravated homicides on ascendants”. The investigation was entrusted to the research brigade of the Saint-Nazaire gendarmerie.
