“I want to make it hard for them not to call me,” Lil Wayne told the podcast host 4HUNNID, who was trying to find out if he had already been approached for the event. “I’m working hard, I’m going to make sure I release a new album and that everything I do is going to be killer.”

The 41-year-old artist has been voluble in recent months when the subject of the 2025 Super Bowl came up. Last December, when he was Taylor Rooks’ guest on the podcast Bleacher Report, he declared that he wanted to be the star of this event as much as he wanted to be at the top of the charts of Billboard when he was just starting out in music.
