The Honda CR-V will get a facelift for the 2023 model year and first images of the new generation of the model have surfaced on the web.
A black and white model had already been published last February, and now photos of the CR-V 2023 ended up on the website of a Chinese government ministry as part of the vehicle’s certification process.
It is therefore the Chinese version of the CR-V, but everything suggests that the model sold here will adopt substantially the same design.
Without revolutionizing anything, this new image will certainly do some good for the CR-V, which had hardly changed a bit since 2016. Mind you, that hasn’t stopped Honda from selling more of them. 50,000 units in Canada in 2021, making it the second most popular model in its class behind the Toyota RAV4.
A hybrid version to come
Already available in the United States but not in Canada, a hybrid version of the Honda CR-V will be added to the model’s catalog for Canadian consumers. This hybrid CR-V will also be built in Ontario, just like the other variants.
The official unveiling of the 2023 Honda CR-V is expected in the coming weeks. We will then know more about its exact specifications as well as the choice of engine.
