2022 is the year of the bicentenary of the birth of Louis Pasteur, who was born on December 27, 1822 in Dôle (Jura). Trained as a chemist, Louis Pasteur was at the origin of the most formidable scientific revolutions of the 19th century, in the fields of biology, agriculture, medicine and even hygiene. By beginning his research on crystallography, Pasteur embarked on a path punctuated with discoveries that would lead him to the development of the vaccine against rabies.
