“Each year, the candidates, finalists and recipients of the Charles-Biddle Prize show us how rich and beautiful our culture is,” said Michel Vallée, CEO of Culture pour tous.

The Charles-Biddle Prize is awarded by Culture pour tous and the Ministère de l’Immigration, francization and integration of Quebec. It underlines “the contribution of people who immigrated to Quebec and whose professional and personal commitment contributes to the cultural and artistic development of the province”.

Comedian Igor Ovadis, born in the Soviet Union, was awarded with an unprecedented special recognition decided by the jury of the Charles-Biddle Prize in order to “reward the admirable contribution of the artist to his adopted province”.
