20,000 people expected in front of prefectures during demonstrations on Thursday, according to the Ministry of the Interior

The Ministry of the Interior expects 16,000 to 20,000 people for 80 actions throughout France and asks to grant a “special vigilance for the protection of prefectures and sub-prefectures”, with the implementation of “adapted devices” and the mobilization of police and gendarmerie services.

“Depending on the risks identified, you will take measures to ban demonstrations likely to seriously disturb public order and damage the prefectures, major symbols of the State in the territories”can we read in this letter.

The Minister of the Interior also asks to transmit to his cabinet “any element that seems to justify the dissolution of these small groups with insurrectionary aims.”
