2,000 police and gendarmes will be mobilized on Monday at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) on the occasion of the France-Croatia game counting for the League of Nations of football, indicates this Sunday the police headquarters of Paris in a press release. 650 of them will be especially in charge of the fight against delinquency around and on the outskirts of the Stade de France, as well as in the transport stations.
78,000 spectators are expectedincluding about 1,000 Croatian supporters. “A security device, similar to that put in place for the France-Denmark match on June 3, is organised”, specifies the police headquarters. Law enforcement will focus their attention on the “maintenance of public order, the fight against crime and the regulation of the flow of people, to ensure the safety of spectators around the Stade de France”.
Limited impact of the strike
The planned strike on the RATP network should have “a limited impact on traffic”, adds the statement quoting the RATP. A security perimeter will be set up from 4 p.m. around the stadium. Checking tickets, under the control of the organizer, will be carried out at access terminal level. Police and gendarmerie patrols will be present in all stations and stations in the Paris area, in particular those likely to be used by supporters going to the match and in particular at the level of the three public transport stations. from the stadium, RER B, RER D and metro line 13.
The police headquarters specifies that police officers in civilian clothes and in uniform will be present in the immediate perimeter of the Stade de France, as well as around the stations. The gates of the Stade de France will open at 6:45 p.m.
