More than 20 years after the end clap on our small screens, the cult series Buffy the Vampire Slayer
comes back with a audio spin-off (Slayers: A Buffyverse Story) centered on the character of Spikeembodied by James Marsters
. To present this new project, the latter declared: “I am very happy to be back with my friends for this new chapter in the Buffyverse. We will guide our listeners in a familiar world butunexpected, filled with horror, passion and malice […] I can’t wait for old and new fans to enjoy this experience in the world of vampire hunting like they’ve never experienced it before and which was created thanks to aimmersive storytelling work.”
A universal and powerful series
Distributed between 1997 And 2003 on M6, the 144 episodes of the series have been able to fascinate aficionados of hunting vampires and demons.
Much more than a series for teenagers, 7 seasons did not hesitate to mention strong themes like the intra-family violenceTHE feminismTHE grief or homosexuality. In the 9 episodes broadcast from October 12 next on Audible, we will find Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Anthony Head (Rupert Giles), Amber Benson (Tara Maclay), Juliet Landau (Drusilla), James Charles Leary (Clement), Emma Caulfield Forest (Anya Jenkins) and Danny Strong (Jonathan). What is the synopsis?
The plot unfolds 10 years later the end of the original series. In a ralternative reality, Cordelia Chase is the only vampire and demon slayer. Buffy Summers, on the other hand, never existed.
Spike, now undercover in Los Angeles, makes the authorities believe that his evil side took over. His wish ? Trying to keep the forces of evil at bay. But its blanket will be disturbed when he meets Indiraa young and still inexperienced vampire slayer in search of her Watcher.
Spike will also be put to the test when Cordelia calls upon his talents to fight DrusillaA demon particularly robust who terrorizes his world. Will the 3 protagonists manage to save the world?
