20 years ago, singer Gilbert Bécaud passed away. While a book dedicated to the artist has just been published, his daughter Emily is on the franceinfo set to testify.
20 years after the death of her father, Emily Bécaud remembers with nostalgia the one who disappeared when she was 29 years old. Today, she seeks to revive the memory of Gilbert Bécaud via a three-CD box set, made up of a few rarities. With this box, she wishes to distill love, the one that the singer gave to his audience.
Nicknamed ”Mr. 100,000 voltsWhen he took the stage, Emily remembers that Gilbert Bécaud was also active in his private life. She remembers a creative man, passionate about lamps and painting, who got to work after the children went to bed. Despite a life on top of the hour, Emily Bécaud specifies that her father always found time for his family and devoted entire days to his children. She continues by evoking a man turned towards the future who did not let himself be defeated, in spite of the difficulties which his profession could sometimes generate.
