New deadly explosions of Hezbollah transmission devices in Lebanon. After pagers on Tuesday, walkie-talkies exploded and left 20 dead and more than 450 injured on Wednesday, September 18, according to the latest report from the Ministry of Health. These detonations took place in the suburbs of Beirut, as well as in the south and east of Lebanon, according to the authorities.

This new attack comes the day after pager explosions, which killed 12 people and injured at least 2,750, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The walkie-talkie explosions occurred at the same time as the funeral of four Hezbollah members killed the day before. This caused panic during the funeral, with many people rushing to take shelter, according to AFP footage.

Israel has not commented on the attacks, hours after the Jewish state announced that it would extend the objectives of the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to its northern border with Lebanon. Since the beginning of the conflict and the deadly attacks of October 7, 2023, Hezbollah has opened a front on the border with Israel, saying it supports Hamas. Since then, deadly exchanges of fire have been almost daily.
