A missing 2-year-old boy was found in the mouth of an alligator in Florida on Friday, St. Petersburg police said. The child’s father was also charged with the first degree murders of the child and his mother.

Little Taylen Mosley had been missing since Thursday. Her mother, Pashun Jeffery, 20, was also found dead in her apartment. She was stabbed multiple times, police said.
The child’s father, Thomas Mosley, faces two counts of first-degree murder.
Taylen was found 15 kilometers from her mother’s apartment, near Dell Holmes Park.
Family members last saw the mother and child on Wednesday, asking the housing manager to alert them if he was unable to reach them.
The cause of the child’s death has still not been determined.
