France Bleu Provence partner of the Association of Winegrowers of Sainte-Victoire presents the Discovery Rally 2022.
A fun and friendly ride
In the heart of the prestigious Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire terroir, the Sainte-Victoire Wine Discovery Rally will take place the time of an autumn day in the freshly harvested vineyardsthe winegrowers of the Caves Coopératives and the Caves Particulières will reveal to you the passion that drives them and the secrets of their profession.
On board your vehicle and with your team (1 to 5 people maximum), you will discover a “surprise” course punctuated withpuzzles and of met with the winegrowers in the enchanting setting of the Sainte-Victoire mountain labeled Grand Site de France. On that day, you will benefit from a privileged welcome and various activities will be offered to help you discover the world of the vine and wine of Sainte-Victoire: work in the vines, vinification and wine-making, introduction to tasting, history of the vine and wine, food/wine pairings.
Win the challenges and puzzles offered
You will also meet the nature wardens of the Grand Site Sainte-Victoireagents from the Aix-en-Provence Natural History Museum and the Sainte-Victoire National Nature Reserve. Challenges and puzzles will decide between the teams until the award ceremony. Many prizes are up for grabs, including 1 stay for 5 people in a furnished rental with a 6-day ski pass at the Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon resort offered by its tourist office.
The Automobile Club du Pays d’Aix will be there to make you aware of road safety: each team will appoint its SAM who will be rewarded if he respects the safety rules.
Today’s program
- From 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Welcome at the gymnasium of the La Gardi sports complex in Trets – Welcome breakfast – Delivery of a bottle of wine to each team – Gradual departure to the cellars and estates.
- Convivial lunch in the Cellars and Estates at 12:30 p.m. Unique menu: Pork cheek with rosé wine and grapes with mashed potatoes – Assortment of local cheeses – Saint-Tropez tart. Wines offered by the winegrowers.
- From 5 p.m. Return to the gymnasium of the Gardi sports complex in Trets – Bottle offered to each “SAM” if he has respected his commitments, prize giving and cocktail reception.
