Preparation for the summer tour begins for the XV of France. Less than a month before the three matches planned in Argentina and Uruguay in July, the French Rugby Federation unveiled, Monday June 17, a first list of 32 players for a week of training in Marcoussis, until Friday June 21 .
Of the 32 players called up, 19 are novices and do not yet have any selections on the clock. Among them is the Munster player Antoine Frisch, already called by Fabien Galthié’s staff to prepare the last match of the Six Nations Tournament against England in March, but also the Palois Théo Attissogbé, the Montpellier Lenni Nouchi, 20 both years old, and the Clermont pair Baptiste Jauneau-Joris Durand, who have been talked about this season in the championship.
These novices are supervised by experienced players, such as Jean-Baptiste Gros (27 caps) and Demba Bamba (26 caps) up front, or Baptiste Couilloud (16 caps) and Baptsite Serin (44 caps) among the three-quarters. Absent from the last Six Nations Tournament, Melvyn Jaminet returns to the group. The final list of 42 players will be announced at the end of the week, Sunday June 23.
