The southerner was married but a year and a half after the birth of Léontine, he separated. His meeting with the mother took place when he was 20 years old and she was 17 years old. “We were together, she did her studies, and when she finished them, she came to live with me, in my village”. But one day, the dream ended. “She said to me: ‘You’re a perfect husband, a wonderful father’, before leaving. A very hard decision to take. “For me it was inconceivable. When you meet someone, get married, have a child, it’s for life.”
