17-year-old teenager stabbed in the Montreal-North borough

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed overnight in the Montreal-North borough.

It was a call to 911 around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning that led the police to the scene of the assault on Gervais Avenue, near Industrial Boulevard, in Montreal.

“According to the first information obtained, an altercation between the victim and other individuals would have degenerated. During this altercation, the victim was stabbed at least once,” said officer Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

The young man was in critical condition when taken to hospital and there were fears for his life.

A security perimeter has been erected on avenue Gervais between boulevard Industriel and rue de Charleroi.

“The investigators who are currently on the scene will be assisted by forensic identification technicians to analyze the scene and understand the circumstances surrounding this armed attack. A dog handler was also requested on the scene, ”said agent Brabant.

He said no arrests have yet been made.

The SPVM investigation is continuing.
