It is a new news item that has shaken the French. Last Monday in Mayenne, a father went to the gendarmerie to report the worrying disappearance of his eldest daughter, just 17 years old. The latter had left alone in the forest of Bellebranche to jog and had no more news.
The authorities who had traced his route had also found his personal effects. In particular his GPS watch, his headphones, but also his cell phone. As “BFMTV” claims, the jogger was found “alive”.
On the evening of Tuesday, November 9, the Laval prosecutor’s office announced that the young woman had found refuge “bloody” in a restaurant (kebab editor’s note) in Sablé-sur-Sarthe. In “state of shock”, the teenager was quickly taken care of by the firefighters. Investigators are awaiting his recovery to question him about his disappearance.
For their part, they are continuing their investigations to obtain more details on “his schedule for this last day”, as the Laval prosecutor’s office pointed out. For this investigation requalified on the same date for “kidnapping” and “sequestration”, 80 gendarmes would have been mobilized.
The Angers research section and the research brigade of the Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne gendarmerie company took over the case. A man whose schedule appeals to investigators has also been placed in police custody. Some inconsistencies in his initial statements were pointed out. For the moment, a possible release “is not excluded either”, specified our colleagues from BFM.
