The French Red Cross “faces a rise in vulnerabilities”underlines Saturday May 25 on franceinfo its president, Philippe Da Costa, on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the association and the launch of the 90th national quest.

Philippe Da Costa notes “an increase in crises and, since the health crisis, the mobilization of the Red Cross has been exceptional”, he explains. At the same time, the association has seen its number of volunteers increase by 15,000 in two years, because there are also “a desire of the French to act, to be useful”. Philippe Da Costa observes this increase in commitment both in participation in marauding and in the field of first aid, particularly on the occasion of the Paris 2024 Games: “In preparation for the Olympic Games, we recruited a lot of first aid workers”notes the president of the French Red Cross.
