160 years after its creation, the association “faces a rise in vulnerabilities” but also in commitment, according to its president

The French Red Cross “faces a rise in vulnerabilities”underlines Saturday May 25 on franceinfo its president, Philippe Da Costa, on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the association and the launch of the 90th national quest.

Philippe Da Costa notes “an increase in crises and, since the health crisis, the mobilization of the Red Cross has been exceptional”, he explains. At the same time, the association has seen its number of volunteers increase by 15,000 in two years, because there are also “a desire of the French to act, to be useful”.
