16-year-old injured in Montreal shooting

Another shooting sounded in the streets of Montreal and this time it was a 16-year-old teenager who was the victim.

The shooting occurred around 11:50 p.m. Monday evening in the Ahuntsic district, near the intersection of rue Saint-Hubert and avenue Émile-Journault, in the Collège Ahuntsic sector.

When they arrived at the scene, officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) found the victim injured in the lower body. His transport to the hospital was organised.

In the middle of the night on Tuesday, the SPVM confirmed that the teenager’s life was no longer in danger.

The exact location where the shot was fired had not been determined as of early Tuesday. A security perimeter was still erected.

No arrests had been made and the police investigation was ongoing.
