On an amateur video, filmed in the subway of New York (United States), Tuesday, April 12, passers-by run and cry, while a man has just opened fire at 8:30 a.m. (New York time), in a crowded subway. The injured are cared for on the platform or in the trains. At least 16 people were injured, including 10 by bullets, without their lives being in danger. “It was scary, I don’t know what was going on, everyone was crammed into the train”says a man.
The shooting took place in a neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The police rule out the terrorist trail. “No explosives were found in the metro and there is no open investigation for an act of terrorism”, said Keechant Sewell, chief commissioner of the New York police. The shooter, who was wearing a gas mask, is still being actively sought. His motives are not yet known.
