What a sad discovery… When he had just returned to his Parisian home after several days of absence, Benoît Magimel discovered a house upside down. Criminals broke into his home and stole luxury watches and bags from major brands, as revealed by our colleagues at Sunday newspaper this Monday, June 19. The facts would have occurred between June 9 and June 17, 2023.
The individuals reportedly entered through a window on the first floor of the 49-year-old comedian’s home after using a garden table. Surveillance cameras are however at his home but these have been neutralized by the burglars as we learn once again from our colleagues. At present, an investigation has been opened by the banditry repression brigade (BRB). In addition to the stolen luxury watches and designer bags, a safe was attempted to be broken into. Luckily for the recently Caesarized actor, the trunk held up.

The stolen loot would still amount to 150,000 euros… a substantial sum. A sad discovery, several weeks after having known happiness… Indeed, just like his colleague to whom he gives the reply in “See Paris again” by Anna Wintour, Virginie Efira, Benoît Magimel received the César for best actor on Friday February 24 during the 48th César ceremony.
The 49-year-old actor was rewarded for his role in the film “Pacification: Torment on the Isles” by Spanish filmmaker Albert Serra. A film in which he plays De Roller, a High Commissioner of the Republic representing the State in French Polynesia who is investigating rumors of renewed nuclear tests in the region.
