Nearly 150 people gathered this Saturday in front of the town hall of Liffré, northeast of Rennes. A single message, proclaimed in unison: “no to the project to build a Bridor factory” in the Sévailles 2 area, located at the exit of the town. Protesters marched to the site and plan to invest the places until Sunday evening.
Between fear and anger
An absurd project, an environmental catastrophe… the demands of the demonstrators are numerous. “Producing frozen pastries here in Liffré, which will then be exported to luxury hotels around the world, is nonsense to me”, says Pascal, a resident of the town. Next to him, Fabienne, is just as up.
It is a destruction of agricultural land. In addition, there is a real danger of flooding on this site
On his side, the town hall of Liffré defends itself : the Bridor plant will enable the creation of more than 500 jobs.
