150 extras reenact the lost battle of Vercingetorix

They come from all over France for a lost cause. The extras who took on the role of the Gauls went to the front from this Saturday, July 9 to fight the Roman legionnaires. Another day of clashes in Alésia at the MuséoParc before the surrender of their leader Vercingétorix. In minus 52 BC, this is where the decisive battle of the Gallic Wars took place. One hundred and fifty enthusiasts gathered there this weekend.

But for Michel Rouger, the director of the site, this reconstitution is not exactly the celebration of a defeat.
