The arrest of an alleged serial predator from the Laurentians has made it possible to find no less than 15 victims, he who would have taken advantage of car rides with young teenage girls to sexually assault them.
Jeff Perrier had a unique modus operandi: He contacted young girls, most between the ages of 12 and 15, on apps like Snapchat and Messenger to convince them to go for a ride, a court document obtained by The newspaper.
If they refused, the 27-year-old would bluntly ask them to have sex. The alleged serial predator sometimes posed as a man ten years younger.
Then, he allegedly took advantage of walks with certain teenage girls to touch and sexually assault them in his car.

New victims
The Mont-Saint-Michel resident was first arrested in March after six alleged victims came forward to authorities. The Sûreté du Québec searched his home, where the police got their hands on his cell phone, a computer and a USB key.
The investigation and the media coverage of the case then made it possible to find new alleged victims, for a total of 15. Only two of them were adults at the time of the facts, according to the act of denunciation.
Perrier now faces around 30 charges, including sexual assault on five minors, sexual interference, luring and forcible confinement.
Trapped in his car
The circumstances of the alleged sexual assaults are particularly troubling. While he was in his car with a 12-year-old teenager, Perrier allegedly took his cell phone and locked the door to prevent him from getting out.
“You’re going to shut up and you’re going to let yourself go,” he would have told her, before satisfying his base instincts.
Perrier then allegedly said not to report him or he would do it again, then asked him to get dressed and leave. The young girl finally spoke to a school agent after being scared because he also allegedly followed her several times.
Facebook
The alleged pedophile also reportedly got angry and called another 15-year-old teenager a “bitch” and “annoyed” because she refused to send him nude photos. He would also have told her “that all women were the same”.
Some would have probably avoided the worst by blocking it after being lured on social networks.
Perrier, who has no criminal record, is currently in custody and his bail hearing will take place in the coming weeks at the Mont-Laurier courthouse.
The Crown prosecutor, Mr.e Neil Demmerle Shantz, will oppose his release, he confirmed to the Log.
