It was the big night for Eva Longoria, Friday June 9, 2023. The American star unveiled at a preview in Los Angeles, her first film as a director, entitled, Flamin’ Hot A realization “on the true story of Richard Montañez who, after starting as a caretaker with the Frito-Lay company, turned the food industry upside down by using his Hispanic-American heritage to create ‘Flamin’ Hot Cheetos’ chips, become over time a phenomenon of global pop culture”.
What a reunion!
Several personalities were present on the red carpet of the event among them, Jesse Metcalfe. The latter was spotted by his former colleague in Desperate Housewives in which he played the young and sexy gardener, John Rowland who turned the head of Gabrielle Solis, a character played by Eva Longoria. The two actors played opposite each other for three years between 2004 and 2007 before meeting again in 2009. They posed, smiling, like in the good old days. Asked by People magazine, Kendji Girac’s “great girlfriend” revealed that she had not seen him for “a million years”. We can imagine the pleasure they had to meet for this very important moment.
In the continuation of his exchange with our American colleagues, the ex-wife of Tony Parker spoke about this new role of director. “I think people think I’m an actress-turned-director, but I’m really a director-producer-turned-actress,” she said. “I’ve always loved being behind the camera, I’ve always been interested in the business side and so directing has always felt very natural to me.” She went on to say: “I used Desperate Housewives as a film school – that’s where I learned everything.” When asked if she plans to become a full-time director soon, however, the star clarified: “I love acting, so I will always do that.”
