A 13-year-old boy died on Wednesday evening, August 21, in the Empalot district of Toulouse, in Haute-Garonne, after falling ten stories from his building, France Bleu Occitanie and France 3 Occitanie reported on Thursday morning, confirming information from La Dépêche.

The autistic teenager fell, for reasons that are still unknown, from the window of his apartment, located on the tenth floor of a building, on Wednesday around 9:30 p.m. On site, firefighters were unable to resuscitate the 13-year-old boy.

An investigation has been opened and according to the initial evidence gathered by the police, the theory of an accident is favoured. The teenager’s father was present in the apartment at the time of the tragedy. The man and his son had recently moved into the accommodation.
