13 injured, including one serious, in a school bus accident

The driver of a utility vehicle was seriously injured in a road accident with a school bus on Wednesday December 8 in Toury, in Eure-et-Loir, and was driven to the Dreux hospital, reports France Bleu Orléans. Twelve passengers on the coach were slightly injured, including nine schoolchildren who suffered from bruises, bruises and minor trauma.

At around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, this school bus from the Rémi network and a utility vehicle collided on the RD 2020 departmental road, while the bus was driving 53 children to Louis Bleriot college and driving from Fresnay-l’Évêque to Toury.

A Smur helicopter was dispatched to the scene, as well as three ambulance teams, three medical teams, around fifteen gendarmes and around thirty firefighters. Traffic was disrupted for a while before returning to normal.

The prefecture of Eure-et-Loir has sheltered all the children at the Toury emergency center and has opened a psychological unit for schoolchildren and their relatives.
