Up to 180 millimeters of rain
Nine departments are on alert for floods: Pas-de-Calais, Vienne, Deux-Sèvres, Charente-Maritime, Charente, Dordogne, Corrèze, Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud. Corsica is also on alert for “rain-flood“. Pas-de-Calais remains on orange alert for floods after the passage of storm Ciaran.

Finally, with the conjunction of violent winds and the “sea level rise“, two departments on the Atlantic coast, Gironde and Charente-Maritime, and two departments in the Mediterranean arc, Var and Bouches-du-Rhône, are affected by orange wave-submersion vigilance. Météo France alerts on “an episode of strong waves requiring particular vigilance“, on the Atlantic and Mediterranean facades.
